Easy way to Create FTP accounts in cpanel

The FTP account stands for File Transfer Protocol account which is a type of user account that allows the files transfer with the host computer by using the FTP servers.

here I will show how to create the FTP accounts in Cpanel Dashboard and also how to connect it to Your FTP server directory using the FTP client of your choice First sign in to Cpanel account then you will find FTP account if you are not finding then

type FTP you will get and click on it 

You will be redirected to an ADD FTP account Page so here you will get 

  • Login
  • Password
  • Password(again)
  • Strength
  • Directory(on which file/folder)
  • Quota(200MB or unlimited)

After filling in all the details click on create FTP Account and you will get a green tick symbol as Account created in the below image and also at the bottom you can see the new account has been created as per the credentials, for example, I have Created FTP tutorials so I have got the ftptutorils@gwwdemosites.com  


After clicking on the account created you will see Manual settings in which you have very important 

  • FTP username
  • FTP server
  • FTP & explicit FTPS Port

And also the configuration settings for windows and mac clients core FTP for windows and Cyberduck for mac you can download and run

If you are not using any of the above the know that I use WINSEP by connecting to the server by adding the FTP credentials which have been generated by the FTP account 

Start by pressing winsep in windows button for the windows operating system you will find below image

Add all the details like the Hostname, Username, Password, port number, and Encryption (if needed)  and click the save button and you will get a popup box and change it with the FTP account details then you will find the recently updated account( 2 accounts)

To enter the account click on the login button it asks for the Password enter the password yeah….! now you have successfully connected to the server.

For the demonstration, I have logged into the Cpanel and In the image, I have selected the “ftptutorial” file which is empty likewise server. 


To test the server establishment I have added 2 files you can just drag and drop files now you can see the 2 files have in both the FTP server as well as the Cpanel Dashboard now you can work on the server.
